British Sprint/Middle donations raise £500
Donations made by entrants to the British Middle and Sprint Championships raised over £300, and the Northern Ireland Orienteering Associations has topped this up to £500.
The British Middle and Sprint Championships were held in Northern Ireland in May this year. For a small UK orienteering region, itself made up of a number of relatively small clubs, this was a major undertaking, and 100s of orienteers made the trip to the events. On entering people were given the option of making a donation to the Orienteering Foundation, and we are hugely grateful for those that took the opportunity to support us, and just as grateful to NIOA who choose to top up the sum to £500 themselves.
