Orienteering Runners of Exeter (OROX)
It is great to see a new orienteering club at Exeter University springing into life, and we are proud to be supporting their development.
Georgia Jones, president of the new OROX club said:
The grant from the Orienteering Foundation will allow us to increase the quality of our training (in terms of equipment and trips) and means we can be more ambitious with our trips, by having more money to cover fuel. This will enable us to build a stronger foundation for the next year, establish traditions (such as a planned Christmas trip, consistent participation in Devon events) and have financial ability to build connections with other societies. For example, we are collaborating with Exeter's Expedition Society and Out of Doors Society in March for a weekend trip - one day of hiking, one day of Orienteering.
We wish the club all the best for the future.
