ORIENTEERING FOUNDATION

Physio at the Scottish 6 Days

We are delighted to report that Claire Houston is providing physio services at the Scottish 6 Days this week, and donating proceeds after expenses to the Orienteering Foundation.

Various physio services are on offer including massage, taping (injury prevention, injury support, blisters), injury management and advice. Treatment slots are 15 mins and can be booked on the day at the physio tent (located next to first aid) and putting your name on the white board against a time slot. The clinic will open at 8:45am with the last treatment at 3:15pm, and in attendance at the events on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

The physio services are available for just the price of your generous donation in the tub at the event! Claire is offering her services for free, and is very kindly donating all money after expenses to the Orienteering Foundation, for which we are incredibly grateful.

Claire works locally in Lossiemouth, both as a civilian physio for the RAF and in her private clinic in Lossiemouth (see https://www.clhphysioandsportstherapy.co.uk/). She has been doing event physio for many years, including motorbike racing, running, American football, as well as support individuals (orienteering, running, football, motorbikes, cyclists etc). She tells us she tried orienteering as a teenager, but while she can read a road map, she finds navigating between points more challenging - a familiar story to many of us!

Good luck to everyone competing at the Scottish 6 Days. In an ideal world no-one would need physio support, but if you do you know where to find it!
