Civil Service Active Wellbeing through Orienteering
We are pleased to make an award to the Civil Service Sports Council
Going for over 100 years, the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC) is a not-for-profit organisation who provides sports, leisure offers, member benefits and discounts to over 150,000 members working within the civil service and public sector organisations.
The CSSC Active Wellbeing project represents the organisation’s biggest push to get the Civil Service moving. You can read more about Active Wellbeing here.
This project is to explore the role that orienteering can play in CSSC Active Wellbeing, by testing and developing strategies for orienteering activities through partnership working, aligned with Active Wellbeing 2025 and other Civil Service initiatives. The goal is to assess how these activities can foster a broader interest in orienteering.
The project will be based around Sheffield, in view of the more than 6,000 Civil Service jobs in the city and the support of South Yorkshire Orienteers. We wish CSSC all the best with this innovative pilot project, and look forward to hearing how it goes!
