Dan Heppell support for EYOC

We are happy to have supported Dan Heppell (WCOC) with expenses for attending the European Youth Orienteering Championships this summer
EYOC is for M/W16 and M/W18 and is often the first taste of orienteering in a GBR vest for juniors (before hopefully progressing to greater heights at the Junior World Orienteering Champs and beyond!). The cost of attending international competitions like this places a burden of personal expenses on juniors and their families, and we are always keen to ensure that is not a barrier to representing your country.
EYOC this year was held in Poland, with an intricate town sprint, a challenging long in hilly terrain, and a mixed sprint relay. Dan places 66th in the long, and 70th in the sprint. The experience of an international competition should stand him in good stead at future races, and provide motivation to train for more GBR selections!
