Supporting athletes at the World Cup Final in China
We are delighted to announce we will be supporting Charlotte Ward and Cecilie Andersen as they compete as part of the GBR team at the World Cup Finals in China.
The World Cup Final takes place from 25th - 29th October 2019, in Guangzhou in southern China, and comprises individual sprint and middle races, and a mixed sprint relay.
With the World Champs moving to every other year, and 2019 being a "forest" year, the World Cup series is important for aspiring sprint orienteers to get international racing experience. Moreover this is the first major World Cup event to be held in China, making it an exciting prospect. However travel and visas make it an expensive destination and the Orienteering Foundation is pleased to be supporting the applications from these two athletes.
