Annual report 2025
We have released our Annual Report for 2025, highlighting another year of strong support for projects that enhance, innovate and widen access to orienteering across the UK.
In 2025 the Foundation awarded £23,977 in grants, supporting university and junior coaching programmes, club development roles, first aid training, school mapping projects, and hardship assistance for both individuals and community groups.
Other highlights of the year include:
- Two Orienteering Foundation coaching days, once again in the Lakes, and another for the first time in South Wales.
- Our volunteering survey attracted over 700 responses.
- Social media engagement, particularly on Instagram, grew significantly thanks to more frequent and visually engaging posts.
Total income for the year was £16,411, with reserves standing at £95,881 at year‑end. The Trustees consider this a sustainable position and expect to make at least £15,000 available for grants in 2026.
Looking ahead, we will continue to focus on understanding community needs, supporting juniors, analysing volunteering data, and broadening our funding base.
