ORIENTEERING FOUNDATION

GDPR and our data privacy policy

Many of you will have heard about GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which comes into force on May 25th, 2018. The Orienteering Foundation needs to be compliant to GDPR, and this news item explains what we are doing in this regard.

Here at the Orienteering Foundation we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.  We have developed a Data Privacy Policy and associated Cookie Statement that explain when and why we collect personal information about people who contact us or visit our website, how we use it and how we keep it secure.

The Orienteering Foundation would like to keep in touch with you about the work we do for the development of orienteering, our fundraising appeals and opportunities to support us.  One way we do that is through periodic updates and communications via our email list.  From May 2018 onwards, to comply with GDPR, we always get your explicit opt-in consent before contacting you through the list.  You can opt-in to the list here.  Once on the list you can unsubscribe or change your details (for example your email address) by using the links at the bottom of the emails.

Aside from the email list, you can change your mind about your data preferences at any time by emailing email hidden; JavaScript is required.
