Fermanagh Orienteers organise the Junior Home Internationals
In 2011 the Junior Home International was held in Northern Ireland and the Orienteering Foundation gave a grant to the organisers, Fermanagh Orienteers. The organisers explain how this helped them to involve the local community:
BKO host the British Schools Orienteering
In 2008, BKO received a grant to enhance the British Schools Orienteering Championships. It paid for a provision of medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class and for part payment towards certificates and commentary. These details helped juniors have an enjoyable and fulfilling competition and gave the Championships the status they deserve within the participation pathway. North West Junior Squad training camp in Norway
In 2008, the North West Junior Squad received a grant to subsidise the costs of a training camp to Norway. Thirty-nine juniors from the North West went to make the most out of orienteering on the doorstep! The juniors took part in coaching, training events and social activities.
